The Standing Committee on Innovation and Future Technologies will look at these fascinating and impactful agenda. Here are some topics this Committee will look at during its life span.

  1. Smart City Initiatives: Developing and implementing smart city technologies to improve urban living, such as intelligent traffic management systems, smart lighting, and waste management solutions.
  2. Renewable Energy Projects: Promoting the adoption of renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and hydroelectric power. They could work on creating incentives for businesses and households to switch to green energy.
  3. Tech Start-up Support: Establishing programs to support local tech start-ups, including funding opportunities, mentorship programs, and innovation hubs to foster a vibrant tech ecosystem in the ACT.
  4. Digital Inclusion: Ensuring all residents have access to digital technologies and the internet. This could involve initiatives to provide affordable internet access and digital literacy programs.
